Keratin treatments are sweeping the country, making curly and frizzy-haired girls' grooming routines infinitely easier

Keratin Treatment-Approved Hair Products

L'Oreal's Ever Pure line is safe for keratin-treated hair.

But the one possible drawback to these treatments (aside from the price) is that most hair products can no longer be used afterward, as they contain an ingredient that can break down the keratin and the results you just paid a pretty penny for.

"Sodium chloride is the main culprit; products that contain this ingredient cannot be used after a Keratin treatment or Brazilian blowout," explains Michael Shaun, Global Creative Director for Alterna. The ingredient (better known as salt) should be avoided.

In order to make it easy for you, we've compiled a list of sodium chloride-free hair products that are safe to use post-keratin. Always double-check the labels to make sure formulas haven't changed.
