According to San Diego and New York salon owners Jet Rhys and Mark Garrison, some of the most popular celebrity haircuts of the new millennium have now launched into I'd-like-to-forget-about-that retirement.
Here, the haircuts that clients most often ask not to look like today.

The blonde's layered crop cut and bedhead-tousled style was a mainstay of the '90's, but Ryan's current longer version is growing stale. The issue? The way she's primping it still screams 1995. "The style is just old, and she's styling it the same way. It's a nice haircut, but switch it up Meg. Part it on a different side and don't make it look flicky," advises Rhys.
Victoria Beckham
Seems like just yesterday when everyone was getting the "Posh" steep angled bob, doesn't it? While the bob looked ultra chic and stylish fresh from the salon, women have found that maintaining the crispness of the cut takes a Spice Girl paycheck. "Although the extreme angled bob was popular, it ended up to be too severe for most clients, with not such a graceful grow out," says Garrison.

The 25 year-old has grown her Marilyn Monroe-like tousled above-the-shoulders blonde curls longer now which has made the style lose its playful freshness. "When Scarlett's hair was at her shoulders, it was awesome. Clients drove 150 miles to get her look," says Rhys of her Southern California clientele. "Now that it's longer, it has lost its pizzazz."
Lisa Rinna
Not unlike her lips, Rinna's piecey crop cut is over-exaggerated and makes the 47 year-old actress appear as though she's trying too hard. "It's not realistic hair. It's way too perfect and almost dollish. It looks too on purpose," comments Rhys. If you like the cut and want to pull it off in a more modern way, use a lighter hand with texturizer product and opt for a quick yet rough blow dry instead of painstaking styling with a hot iron.

Long, straight and minimalist became a popular post-90's option, but Paltrow's heavy cut can make even delicate facial features and foreheads look too prominent. "Although once requested a lot, in the end, this long, hanging center parted haircut is not flattering or wearable," says Garrison.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Carrie Bradshaw made curly hair cool again, but the way the New Yorker has been styling her long layered cut lately has put her on the least-requested list. "Her hair color is too light now, she used to have a great 'bronde' color going on," Rhys says of the star's former blonde-meets-brunette shade. "She's not embracing her curl anymore, and as a result is not looking as sparkly and as bouncy as she used to," adds Rhys.

The South African native is one of Hollywood's most glamorous stars, yet Rhys wonders who is cutting Theron's hair which hangs heavy around otherwise beautiful facial features. "It lacks lustre and doesn't move anymore. The layers are too long. It's not a celebrity-level style," says Rhys.
Jennifer Aniston
Her flippy short layers may have defined the decade of the 90's, but the former Brad Pitt flame is currently wearing a longer version with a more traditional face frame that doesn't quite work as well. "The long layers are great, but when styled so straight, it's not very popular. Women today want more texture and movement to their hair," says Garrison.
Rhys agrees. "Jennifer, change it up, girl! Everyone loved her hair. It's so thick now and too long, like Marsha on The Brady Bunch."

The down-home Southern gal is hanging on to bangs that are more appropriate for a teen. "Her bangs always look girlish, not sexy. They don't fit in with her long hair," says Rhys. A softer side-swept bang coupled with feminine layers would bring the 34 year-old actress's look from sweet sixteen to sultry star.
Sharon Osbourne
Once a popular crop cut for mature hair in search of a touch of alternative style, Osbourne is letting it get too long and as a result, is starting to look mom-ish. "It's looking like a bubble because it's way too round. She needs to deflate it a bit," advises Rhys. Speaking of deflation, the 57 year-old just had her breast implants removed so rocker hubby Ozzy could use them as paperweights. Only in Hollywood, folks.
